Preventative healthcare is the cornerstone for keeping your pet healthy and happy for many years to come. Our goal is to prevent your pet from getting sick as much as possible. When illness does occur we will work tirelessly to provide you with all the treatment options available.

Exams & Vaccination

Vaccines help prevent many illnesses that affect pets. Vaccinating your pet has long been considered one of the easiest ways to help him live a long, healthy life.

Chronic Conditions

Just like humans, more cats and dogs are living with chronic health conditions. Allergies, Arthritis, Diarrhea, Cataracts, and more.

Dentistry

More than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3. Dental disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets.

Dermatology

Skin problems are common in dogs and cats and can be caused by hormonal disorders, allergies, infections, or parasites such as fleas and mites.

End of Life Care

For our patients and clients, we prioritize the quality of life. We are here for you as your pet ages and stop having fun.

Nutrition

From their days as puppies and kittens to their years as senior dogs and cats, their nutrition should be a big focus. We can help get your pet back onto a healthy path.

Health Screening Tests

Preventative care includes yearly blood work even when your pet appears healthy. This provides a valuable baseline of what your pet’s normal organ function looks like.

Oncology

Cancer is common in our pets. Dogs and cats can grow masses (tumors) in internal organs and on the skin. Any lumps or bumps you find on your pet should be evaluated right away.

Common Parasites in Dogs

A simple way you can help keep your dog healthy is by protecting him or her against fleas, ticks, and other internal and external parasites.

Common Parasites in Cats

A simple way you can help keep your cat healthy is by protecting him or her against fleas, ticks, and other internal and external parasites.

Senior Care

Geriatric pets can develop many of the same problems seen in older people, such as: cancer, heart disease, kidney/urinary tract disease, liver disease, diabetes, and others.

Surgery

Our experienced veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures.

“This place… literally saved our dog’s life..”

“Dr. Marsigliano literally saved our dog’s life! We had a gold retriever with a collapsed trachea and were told the only options were heavy sedatives until death or surgery. Since our initial consult with Intracoastal West Veternian Hopsital in Jacksonville, FL our dog is off opioids and is thriving with excellent health at the age of 12. I would 100% recommend them as they are thorough, educated, respected, and transparent! Their communication is top quality and their compassion is out of this world! Thank you Intracoastal West Veternarian Hospital!”

“The Jacksonville Humane Society is deeply appreciative of Intracoastal West Veterinary Hospital for their participation in our lifesaving Kitten Krusaders program. By donating their time and talent, they have helped us save the lives of precious kittens who are in need. Their professionalism and dedication to our organization and the community makes them truly special. Thank you, Intracoastal West!”

“The staff at Intercoastal West Vet are amazing and so caring! Dr. Mars takes the time to answer all my questions and make sure I’m comfortable with everything going on during the visit. Both my little dog AND my cat were very comfortable with her and Darlene, which is very important to me. They were kind and patient with both babies and didn’t rush or manhandle them. Added bonus, they aren’t outrageous with their prices! I will definitely be bringing my babies here from now on!”

“My old little man hates the veterinarian office.. But, Intracoastal has been AMAZING with him. Their compassion towards animals creates a comfortable and trusting space for my Oliver. The veterinarians and techs are absolutely AMAZING which puts me at ease! I wish I could give them more than five stars, personally, they are a 10 out of 10.”
