“I wish I could give them 10 stars! We had the privilege of bringing our cat here for the past year and a half and it has been the most wonderful experience. He had a bite history and was marked as fearful in the shelter so it was important to us to find a vet that understood the unique needs of cats. They exceeded all expectations – pheromone spray, cat nip, birds on the TV, and a quiet waiting room… everything here is tailored to making it a positive experience for the animals. They took significant time providing education on ways to help him come out of his shell and were always gentle with him, even allowing us to hold him for parts of the exam to help ease his nerves. Visits were always timely and never felt rushed. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and I appreciate that I can text them with any concerns! We are relocating for work, and hoping to find a vet that can come close to the standard they have set!”

Dr. Meghan Murphy is a Jacksonville native and co-owner of Intracoastal West Veterinary Hospital with her sister, Dr. Taylor McLendon. A UF College of Veterinary Medicine graduate with high honors, she has special interests in internal medicine and sports medicine. She believes in treating each patient as an individual, focusing on quality of life and the bond they share with their family.
